Our company with its ongoing development of advanced technologies has succeeded with this product in cutting electricity consumption by approximately half. (*1)

This has been achieved by adding grooves to the interior surface of the tube running through the refrigeration section giving an increase in the contact area with this section (the evaporator) to improve the cooling efficiency and also by changing the shape and structure of the internal DC electric fan (which even before improvement enjoyed an established reputation for energy saving). Also, the use of a new cover for the refrigeration section has reduced internal variations in temperature allowing more efficient refrigeration.

Furthermore, through an innovative change in the condenser motor, not only energy saving but also noise reduction has been achieved. By using a new frame shape noise has been reduced by approximately 30 - 60%.

Another special feature of this product is its large storage capacity. A super thin refrigeration section together with an increase in internal size has resulted in a 42 liter increase in usable interior volume (*2). The "U&T Series" went on sale in June 2006. *1 : The maximum energy consumption reduction figure of approximately 50% (48.5%) was from a comparison between the URD-40RM and a model manufactured by our company in 2002.
